Preschool Survey

The Church of the Holy Communion will begin a Montessori-based preschool in August/September of 2010.  Present plans call for half-day sessions with registration available either two, three, or five days a week.  We are considering, based on the needs of our community, expanding those sessions to all day, five days a week.  Activities, instruction, and care will be appropriate for children ages two, three, and four years.  Holy Communion Preschool will provide a safe and nurturing place for children in an atmosphere of Christian faith and life, responsive to the needs and concerns of families.

This survey is designed to ascertain interest for the Preschool among MUSC faculty, staff, and students.  The Church of the Holy Communion, an Episcopal parish in the Anglo-Catholic tradition, is located at the corner of Ashley Avenue and Cannon Street, 1.5 blocks north of MUSC (map).

Please answer the following questions to help us identify the needs of our community.   Providing this information by May 15, 2010 would be greatly appreciated.

What are the age(s) of the children from your family that you would consider enrolling in a preschool program?

Would partial weeks or days work better for you, or would you prefer five days a week?

What range of time for beginning and ending the school day would meet your needs?

What other needs do you have for your child's preschool?

Any other comments, questions, or suggestions?
